DJ MN Events was founded to change the narrative of the traditional standard that most people expect from a wedding DJ. We wanted to create something different then everyone else was doing. We left the outdated techniques, pre-made playlists, cheesy clichés in the past, where they belong. We opted for a boutique style approach.

Playing music is the core of what we do, but what makes us different? The answer is simple: a refined, unique, and advanced, well-rounded skill set of mixing music truly helps create a whole new experience for your guests, and generate energy to the dance floor. The main difference between DJ MN Events and many other DJs you may have heard at other events is how we play music. We make it a show, with 2 turntables and a mixer, we mix and scratch the music right in front of you, making on the fly mash- ups and crafting the mixes in front of your crowd. Blending each song into one another without ever stopping the music.

Our work has been trusted by hundreds of couples and organizations including some of the most iconic brands and events in the world, including: Target, Red Bull, Nike, and events for Major League Baseball, the PGA, and the NFL. Our event sound, lighting production, and DJ work has been utilized for events for charitable organizations including Make-A-Wish and the Relay For Life, as well as live music concert events for Twin Cities Radio Stations: 102.9 The Wolf, KDWB, K102, and more! With artists including, Uncle Kracker, Shaggy, Matt Stell, Russell Dickerson, and Machine Gun Kelly.

DJ MIKE NELSON is nothing short of AMAZING!!! From booking him to talking over our music likes and dislikes to his amazing personality and ability to converse wth the crowd and keep our music flowing perfectly from one song to the next!! Our dance floor was not empty once!!! And that's hard to do, I have never been to a wedding, before witnessing his awesome ability to entertain, where the dance floor was ALWAYS full! Simply the BEST!!

DJ Mike Nelson is absolutely amazing! I've been to a ton of weddings and have never seen such a great outcome on the dance floor! Mike really got our guests amped up and excited to have a great time. My favorite was Mike had fun ideas to make our reception exceptional and different from your typical wedding reception. Mike came early to set up and made sure everything was good to go right away. He is very professional but also has a great and fun attitude! I recommend him to everyone I know that is planning a wedding!

I can truthfully say having DJ Mike Nelson perform at our wedding was THE best choice! You don't realize how important a good DJ is until your wedding day! He keet everything on schedule and kept everything organized. He could truly sense the crowds mood and played music accordingly! He gave some INCREDIBLE advice and truly kept our wishes as well. There isn't a song out there that he either doesn't have or won't get. He truly performed and kept all of our guests motivated, there was a dance floor all night! I can truly say looking back at my wedding day, DJ Mike Nelson was definitely a major reason my wedding was a successful, stess free evening!
